Priority Mail delivery updates

Priority Mail is a lower-cost Australia Post shipping option we offer alongside Tracked Parcel and Express shipping to provide affordable delivery, and it is free for orders over $60.

It is a reliable option and often faster than regular mail. However, it does not include tracking. This means that once an order has been posted, we can't see its current location, provide delivery updates, or confirm the exact delivery date.

This page explains how Priority Mail works, the delivery timeframes, and what to expect after your order has been shipped.

Estimated delivery timeframes for Priority Mail

We ship all orders from Adelaide, SA. The majority of orders we ship arrive within 2 - 7 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays), but it can sometimes take longer.

Orders to regional areas, remote locations, or some parts of Queensland may take a few extra days (10 to 12 business days).

Although 99% of the orders arrive on time, we have seen delays of up to three weeks, usually during the holiday period or if adverse weather, floods, or other events disrupt Australia Post's delivery network.

Shipping notification email

Once your order has been posted, SecurityBase sends a shipping notification email to the email address provided at checkout. This email confirms that your order has been dispatched and includes general shipping information.

We usually post orders the same day or the next business day, so please check your inbox around that time. If you cannot find the email, please also check your junk, spam, or promotions folder.

There will be no tracking information on the order page or in the shipping confirmation email. The order status may show as “waiting for tracking information” even after your order has been shipped, but no tracking number will be available for this shipping method.

Why we offer Priority Mail

SecurityBase offers Priority Mail because many customers prefer a cheaper shipping option, especially when ordering lower-cost items.

For small and lightweight products, tracked parcel shipping can cost almost as much as the item itself. Priority Mail helps keep shipping affordable, while still using Australia Post’s delivery network. It is a good option if you are comfortable with an estimated delivery timeframe and do not need tracking.

Priority Mail is the default shipping option for orders under $75, but parcel delivery with tracked shipping options are also available to select at checkout.

What to do if your order is delayed

Please allow some extra time, especially during busy periods, public holidays, weather disruptions, or if you live in a regional area. Mail delays happen from time to time, but it is very rare for an order to go missing.

If your order has not arrived two weeks after the estimated delivery date, we recommend contacting your local Post Office to ask whether there are any delayed mail items or local delivery issues.

You can also check Australia Post’s delivery disruption updates for any known delays in your area.

Tracked shipping options

If you prefer tracked shipping, we recommend choosing Standard Parcel or Express Parcel at checkout.

These options cost a little more but include tracking, allowing you to follow the parcel through the Australia Post network.

Tracked shipping is the best option if your order is time-sensitive, you live in a regional area, or you want peace of mind.

Still need help?

We’re always happy to assist where we can.

Before contacting us, please allow at two weeks after the estimated delivery date and contact your local Post Office to check whether they can assist with any delayed mail.

If your order is still missing after that time and Australia Post is unable to assist, please contact us with your order number. Most delayed orders do turn up, but if yours has not, we’ll be happy to look into it and offer a solution!
