The card updates its location when it is detected by nearby compatible Android devices on the Find Hub network, so updates have a higher frequency in busy areas such as a shopping centre or airport, or when the item is moving around.
If the item is stationary, such as in a parked car, indoors, or in an area with fewer nearby Android phones, the location would refresh less often. The tracker is designed to send out a signal at regular intervals to preserve battery life, so the update frequency can vary depending on how many compatible devices are nearby.
Most importantly, the updates should be frequent enough to show the accurate last known location of your item, which it sounds like it is doing well.

Used one on a recent tour. Had a scare one morning about to leave and get on the coach when the tour director approached and told me he didn't have my luggage (I had left it outside my room before the scheduled time to be collected by the porters, and it had been collected). Was able to log into the Find My app and see that it was out on the road with the coaches. Another look with the driver and found it behind someone else's bag in the hold. With the tracker we were able to locate where it was.

I purchased 2 Farady Pouches for my car keys. They were good quality and work well. I tried to start the car with the keys in the pouch and it would not start. The pouch is a good size to keep in my handbag.
Compared to others that claim to be faraday standard these ones work!!!
This usb tracker was great to ensure no data theft when using public charging ports internationally. It's small and easy to keep in any bag or pocket.
The ios card worked perfectly! Good range, great charge, and a nice tune that's played when searching for it. I would highly recommend this product for anyone travelling to put with your passport or wallet.
Purchased the passport holder, which I used to travel to NZ. Also, purchased were the laptop usb to prohibit hacking. The items arrived quickly but in writing this review, it dawned on me that I am unable to provide a review of an item that, prohibits being hacked because it is unlikely that I would know if it occurred. I have never had an issue to date and I am unsure if I would have an issue in the future. Confused? Same. Do I feel secure? To be honest, I never felt insecure, I simply thought why not. Stupidly, I left my passports inside the case and left them at the duty free counter with my Raybans smart glasses. Not smart! The lady who served me brought them over to me, so maybe the items work! I’ll never know either way.
Thank you so much for your review, and you raise a fair point; with most preventative security products, the best outcome is often that nothing happens, which can make them harder to review in the usual way.
That said, the good news is that there are relatively easy ways to test these products in a user environment.
- The tracker card can be tested by placing it in luggage, a bag or wallet and checking its location through Apple Find My.
- The USB data blocker can be tested by connecting a phone to a laptop with the blocker in place; the phone will charge, but not connect or sync data.
- The Faraday passport sleeve can be tested by placing a contactless bank card inside and checking whether it can still be read by a tap-and-go reader (you'll see it will not).

I feel my vehicle might actually be a bit safe from theft atleast deter the average thief and my phone and cards from being scanned the pouches have definitely put my mind at ease. I have passed on the info to my friends
