How the Smart Tracker Tag works
The SecurityBase Smart Tracker Tag is a compact, rechargeable item tracker that works with Apple Find My. Once paired with your iPhone, you can attach it to your keys, luggage, backpack, handbag, pet collar or other everyday items and use the Find My app to help locate them. 1. Pair it with Apple Find My
Open the Find My app on your iPhone, tap Items, then select Add Item. Follow the prompts to add the Tracker Tag. Once connected, you can give your tracker a name, such as Keys, Dog Collar, Suitcase, Backpack or Handbag, so it is easy to recognise in the app.
2. Attach it to your item
Use the tracker tag on items that have a loop, ring or attachment point. It is ideal as a key tracker, pet collar tracker, luggage tracker, bag tracker or general item finder.
3. Locate it in the Find My app
To find your item, open the Find My app, go to Items, and select your tracker tag. From there, you can check its last detected location or use the available Find My options to help locate it. If the tag is nearby, you can play a sound to help find it around the house, in your car, inside a bag, under a couch cushion or wherever it may be hiding.
4. Find it further away
When your item is further away, the tracker tag can be detected by nearby Apple devices in the Find My network. If another compatible Apple device passes near your tracker, its location is securely updated in the Find My app.
5. Recharge via USB-C
The SecurityBase Tracker Tag has a built-in rechargeable battery and charges via USB-C, so there is no need to regularly replace coin-cell batteries.

Under normal use, it can last up to 12 months, depending on usage and tracking activity. When the battery runs low, you’ll receive a notification in Apple Find My, and the battery can be easily replaced.

The tracker securely and anonymously pings its location to nearby Apple devices using Bluetooth, with a range of around 10–30 metres, depending on walls, obstacles and surroundings.
