Introducing the AusFindr Dual Tracking Tag for Apple and Android
By Nick Riemsdijk
Keeping track of keys, bags and luggage should be simple. SecurityBase has introduced the AusFindr Dual Tracking Tag, a compact Bluetooth tracker designed to work with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub.
The AusFindr Tag gives iPhone and Android users an easy way to locate everyday valuables without subscription fees or downloading a separate tracking app.
One tracker for Apple or Android
Most tracking tags are designed for one phone ecosystem. The AusFindr Dual Tracking Tag offers greater flexibility by supporting both major tracking networks.
During setup, you can connect the tag to either:
Apple Find My on an iPhone or iPad
Google Find Hub on an Android device
The tag connects to one network at a time. This dual compatibility makes it practical for households and businesses using a mix of Apple and Android devices.
Designed for everyday essentials
The compact AirTag-sized design makes the AusFindr Tag great for tracking items including:
Keys
Backpacks and handbags
Suitcases and travel bags
Laptop bags
Equipment cases
The tag fits popular AirTag-style accessories and can be paired with an AusFindr silicone keychain holder to attach it securely to keys, bags or luggage.
Locate items using a trusted tracking network
The AusFindr Tag uses Bluetooth to connect with nearby compatible devices in the Apple Find My or Google Find Hub network. When another device detects the tag, its location updates securely in the app.
Like other Find My and Find Hub accessories, the AusFindr Tag is not a live GPS tracker. It does not require a mobile data plan or monthly subscription.
Find nearby items with Play Sound
When the tag is within Bluetooth range, you can use the Play Sound feature on your phone to make it chime. This helps when an item is nearby but hidden under a cushion, inside a bag or around the house.
For items that are further away, you can check the most recently reported location through the compatible tracking app.
Replaceable one-year battery
Each AusFindr Dual Tracking Tag uses a replaceable CR2032 battery with an expected life of about one year under normal use.
When the battery runs low, it can be replaced without discarding the tracker. This makes the tag suitable for ongoing use on keys, luggage and other daily items.
No subscription or separate app
The AusFindr Tag works directly through Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. There is no extra AusFindr app, mobile data plan or subscription.
Once connected, you manage the tracker through the same app used to locate other compatible devices and accessories.
